6 June 2019

June 6, 2019, St. Petersburg — Gazprombank concluded several cooperation agreements in the field of education within the framework of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. They include a trilateral agreement between Gazprombank, the Russian Union of Youth, and the Council of Rectors of Institutions of Higher Education of St. Petersburg and Leningrad Region. The document was signed by Natalya Tretyak, First Vice President of the Bank, Pavel Krasnorutsky, Chairman of the Russian Union of Youth, and Alexey Demidov, Chairman of the Council of Rectors.

Also today, Natalya Tretyak signed a cooperation agreement between Gazprombank and the Moscow Polytechnic University. Rector Vladimir Miklushevsky signed the document on behalf of the Moscow Polytechnic University.

The agreements provide for long-term and mutually-beneficial cooperation for the purposes of the implementation of joint projects and programs aimed at the provision of innovative support to the process of education and the improvement of cooperation among the parties. In addition, one of the key areas of cooperation involves joint development of the research and economic potential of institutions of higher education using modern banking technologies, financial and non-financial services.

“Gazprombank views investments in education as an important area of its activities. Already in February, we agreed with the RUY on the release of student campus cards granting access to the European discount system. I am confident that the agreements signed today will mark the start of the successful implementation of new projects aimed at developing human capital, which is a mandatory prerequisite for the company to move forward,” commented Natalya Tretyak.
