Mikhail Rodionov has more than 11 years of experience working in the investment banking business.
Mr. Rodionov joined the Gazprombank team as a manager of the Corporate Financing Department and the Head of the Oil & Gas Group in 2004, and in 2007 he was appointed as the head of the Bank’s new division – Oil & Gas Projects Department. During his employment with Gazprombank, Mr. Rodionov was in charge of and participated directly in preparation and implementation of a number of major transactions in the Russian oil and gas industry, including acquisition of the interestin Sakhalin-2 project by Gazprom, execution of asset swap deal between Gazprom and German concerns BASF and E.ON, selection of OAO Novatek partners in Yamal LNG project.
Mr. Rodionov primarily focuses on providing consulting services to the oil and gas and mining companies. In addition, Mr. Rodionov is involved in the operational management of Gazprombank’s resources assets and is a member of the management boards of oil and gas and gold-mining companies.
Before joining Gazprombank, Mr. Rodionov was employed with Lukoil Overseas where he dealt with investment reviews of international Upstream and Midstream oil & gas projects. The projects successfully completed by Mr. Rodionov include winning of a gas exploration and production bid in Saudi Arabia for OAO LUKOIL, and acquisition of equity participation in projects in Iran and Azerbaijan by OAO LUKOIL. Prior to employment with OAO LUKOIL Mr. Rodionov worked in the Corporate Finance Office of Ernst & Young, where his clients included the leading Russian companies, such as OAO Gazprom, RAO UES, OAO Mosenergo and others.
Mr. Rodionov graduated from the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics, Lomonosov Moscow State University, and completed the Master’s program at the Faculty of Economics of Lomonosov Moscow State University. He holds a Chartered Financial Analyst certificate.
