Corporate Social Responsibility

The social responsibility for Gazprombank is first of all aiming at achievement of real results. Charity and sponsorship are tools that contribute to fulfillment of social tasks and resolution of social problems.
Gazprombank continuously supports scientific and educational institutions, the Russian Orthodox Church, cultural projects, development of sports for masses and professionals, helps the poor. The most significant projects are regularly included in the annual programs of charity and sponsorship. In some cases representatives of the Bank’s management are included in the board of guardians to supervise implementation of the project.
Understanding the need for education of high qualification personnel in the field of economy the Bank interacts with the leading colleges and universities of the country, such as Moscow State University, Higher School of Economics, Russian Academy for Finance, MGIMO, Saint-Petersburg State University of Economics and Finance etc. In order to maintain high level of educational standards the Bank supports secondary schools, faculty training institutions as well as professional colleges and universities.
For many years, Gazprombank cooperates with the Moscow Kremlin State Historic and Cultural Museum-Preserve, Pushkin Fine Art Museum, Moscow Art Theatre School named after A.P. Chekhov. The bank supports a number of architectural and educational projects of significant moral and esthetic value. At that, a special attention is paid to projects which received recognition among professionals and experts of art, but still have to be made popular among general audience.
Taking into account that the Russian Orthodox Church is one of the most important social institutions of the country and an integral part of the spiritual culture, the Bank donates to orthodox cloisters and public orthodox organizations, reviving the moral and ethic traditions of the society. Gazprombank was one of the first organizations in this country to support publishing of “The Orthodox Enciclopedia” which became the most authoritative religious and scientific publications. The Bank makes significant contributions to preservation and reconstruction of the monasteries that became spiritual centers of the country. For many years, significant amounts are invested in restoration of the Valaam monastery.
A special place in the charitable activities of the Bank takes the aid to the not sufficiently provided for people, namely veterans, orphanages and boarding schools. Within the frames of the annual corporate movement “Help the Children”, employees of the Bank make their personal donations.
Annually, the headquarters of Gazprombank and its branches implement more than 300 charity projects.
