Charity and Sponsorship

Social responsibility has endured as one of Gazprombank's key corporate values.

The Bank consistently supports diverse programmes in science and education, culture and sports, health care and social protection of vulnerable citizens.

Committed to education and training of highly-qualified economic cadre the Bank actively cooperates with Russia's leading colleges and universities. The Bank is also supportive of vocational education. Starting in 2010, a professional competition Worker Fellows of Gazprombank takes place in over 20 cities across Russia, and the best college students are awarded with annual scholarships.

For many years the Bank has been a partner of Zenith football club as well as of several ice hockey and handball clubs. Gazprombank supports various sports events, specifically rowing competitions and tennis tournaments for children.

The Bank has also been a long-time supporter of the Russian Dance Union, as well as of the dance championships of Europe and Russia, the World Dance Cup and the Viennese Ball.

Our partners in the world of culture and arts include Museums of the Moscow Kremlin, Pushkin Fine Arts Museum, the State Hermitage Museum, Theatre School of the Moscow Art Theatre named after A. P. Chekhov. Apart from traditional sponsorship of exhibitions and donations to restoration of historical and cultural monuments, the Bank generates novel fundraising  instruments and solutions to be offered to non-profit organisations and endowment funds. Gazprombank was the first bank in Russia to assist Russian art collectors with art-related consulting, brokering art deals, and infrastructure and educational services. Commitment to preservation and enlargement of cultural heritage and virtu led to formation of the Bank's own art collection. Matters related to development and management of the collection have been entrusted to Art Finance LLC, a subsidiary of the Bank headed by Ms Marina Sitnina, Executive Vice-President of Gazprombank JSC, who was recognized in 2014 as Russia's best art consultant by SPEAR’S magazine. Significantly, Gazprombank strives to preserve integrity and spirit of the works of art made part of the collection, and thus it concentrates on acquiring integrated art projects rather than isolated works, and supporting new artistic endeavours.

Music Lessons, a charity concert tour traditionally supported by Gazprombank, includes master-classes performed by People's Artiste Dmitry Malikov in cities and towns across Russia with the intent to discover musical talent in Russia's young generation.

Occupying a special place in the Bank's charity work are programmes of aid to vulnerable groups of citizens — veteran organisations, orphan homes and boarding schools. Aid to orphans is of highest priority. Throughout years the Bank has been among donors of an Interregional Charity SOS Children's Villages. The Bank is involved in construction of family homes for orphans and renders financial support to SOS Village in Vologda.

The Bank's charity also focuses on environmental programs. In particular, the Bank finances an environmental project on the Bely Island in Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Region.

The Bank co-ordinates its eleemosynary activities through a specially established Centre for Social Responsibility. Employees of Gazprombank are much involved in many of its charity projects.

Overall for every year the Bank's head office and subsidiaries implement over 300 charity and sponsorship projects.
