Since 2003 Gazprombank has been one of the top three Russian banks by the main financial indicators (sources – "Rating" Informational Centre, Interfax, Mobile, The Expert).
Gazprombank’s standings among the Russian banks, based on the results of  1Q of the year 2011:
3rd place by net assets; 
3rd place by shareholders’ funds; 
3rd place by profit;
3rd place by loans to economy; 
According to The Banker Gazprombank is in 159th position  by capital among TOP-1000  world banks and is the forth among the  banks of the Central and Eastern Europe.

Standard & Poor's

Standard & Poor's Ratings Services upgraded Gazprombank’s long-term credit rating from “BB to “BB,+”  and raised its Russia national ratings to ”ruAA+” from ”ruAA”. The outlook is stable.

Moody's Investors Service

On November 29, 2010 Moody's Investors Service changed to positive from stable the outlook on the E+ bank financial strength rating (BFSR) of Gazprombank, and raised its Baseline Credit Assessment (BCA) to B1 from B2. Long-term local and foreign currency debt and deposit ratings of Baa3 were affirmed with a stable outlook, and short-term foreign currency bank deposit rating of Prime-3 was also affirmed. Concurrently, Moody's Interfax Rating Agency (which is majority owned by Moody's) has affirmed Gazprombank's long-term National
Scale Rating (NSR) of Aaa.ru. The NSR carries no specific outlook.
